i personally 'meng-kategorikan' myself as regular hunter YET non the master, like the many of you out there :) for the 'master' hunters, they have this Hall Of Fame chart (by HRU) and the more 'recognised' Sun Hunt/ Time Out Sollutions master category listing (the LIST). my name and like the many of you is NOT on the LIST :D (not up to the standard yet la, no heart feeling here :p) apart from these two groups, we have hunters who like to be known as the NOVICE. no issues for the 'otai-otai', infact they felt insulted if any coc gave them 'extra time'. how about WE? the regulars non the master and novice? the regulars non the master basically teams who 'potentially' to win a hamper in an open hunt, yes!!! PROVIDED total prizes is for the top 15 teams. say the 'hadiah' only for the top 10, then always 'gigit jari la'. maybe by 'tak sengaja' some of WE won the top 5 placing YET as the 'Nujum Pak Belalang' said 'ka dang ka dang'. the NOVICE, most of them ONLY hunts the MAJOR hunt e.g. The Sun Hunt, Putrajaya Hunt and etc. now lets talk about the number ONE pull FACTOR for the novice, is it the 'hadiah'? OR the 'yuran'? The Sun Hunt, for 2008 fees is RM100/ pax, it was infact a very 'the' expensive YET with the 'lots and lots' of PHILLIPS, we see lots of novice teams 'came out and hunt'. then the recent kerajaan Selangor Hunt, 'hadiah' not so many (and no lunch some more) BUT fees is relatively cheap, RM120/ car. we 'jugak' see lots of the novice teams. so IF 'IORU' were to organised a 'no sponsor self funded' treasure hunt for novice where all 'hadiah' and etc comes from the participation fees, how much is the 'acceptable' fees amount like? say the champion will bring back CASH RM1,250.00 and 5th position RM250.00. PLUS the top 15 teams will get a nice hampers. my calculation came to RM250 with minimum 40 cars ('ini' ada lunch 'punya'). question again, can we get 40 novice teams? definitely there are more than 40 novice teams out there BUT will they join for the 'alasan' of 'i enjoy treasure hunting'? AND can the regulars non the master hunters took part in the hunts? i would say YES because this is the ONLY chance for them to collect some 'return'. BUT i don't think most of WE will agree...'susah jugak kan' :(
